Poker Night

Friday night saw the return of the ever-popular Poker Night, this time in conjunction with St Albans Round Table who found a great venue for us all.

As always, there was a mixture of complete novices and so-called pros - but no serious gambling - and naturally it was a complete beginner (at least that's what he told us), Ant from St Albans, who cleaned up.

Boys weekend in Tallinn

Phew! Seven of us made it out to Tallinn for our annual boys weekend away, but we can't say too much about it here in case our wives are reading! Only kidding.

Let's just say that a great time - but not much sleep - was had by all, and that we pretty much covered every square inch of this fantastic city, including numerous bars, nightclubs, eateries etc. Highlight of the trip was a visit to an old Soviet-era shooting range, where we got to fire Magnums, AK47s (from the hip!), Kalashnikovs etc. under the supervision of our instructors Sergei and Vladimir.

It's been even longer following up...

Despite appearances to the contrary, Radlett Round Table is alive and kicking with a very busy schedule coming up - including a dedicated NEW MEMBERS EVENING on 27th June. If you think you might be interested in coming along, please drop us an email at the address below.

It's been a long time coming...

Finally, Radlett Round Table has an online presence - only a blog, maybe, but we were never really going to get around to organising a proper site.

For current members, here's the place to check out what's coming up, read reviews of recent events, post sarky comments or compromising photos of other members, and basically discuss anything Table. Use it!

For visitors, hopefully this will give you a snapshot of what we're about, and encourage you to get in contact.

In the meantime, here's a couple of pics from recent events: Ray in his Saturday night gear taking part in the sponsored abseil off the Harlequin Centre in Watford (helping to raise almost £8,000 for the Peace Hospice), and Matthew whilst he still had some colour in his face, before taking off over Dunstable Downs during our gliding evening.
